  1. Robinson discusses in this poem how America is rapidly industrializing. Protest makes an effort, but makes no difference. He is saying how although change occurs, sometimes change is good, but he is having a hard time convincing himself of that. With change comes wisdom. He says America is rapidly decaying. When all the change occurs, some things remain the same however. He advises people to stay away from this corruption and says he would want his children to stay away from it. He advises youth to be careful about listening to man. They are really just creating a trap. He is warning against the traps of a changing society and also trying to find a bright side. However, he cannot convince himself that there is one; he is trying to accept the change. My question is, what is meant by the final line? Is he saying that Jesus is a lie?
