  1. Nick goes over to talk to Gatsby in the early morning after Myrtle was killed. He talks to Gatsby about his past relationship with Daisy and what he loved about her when she was younger. Nick also advises Gatsby to get out of Long Island before he gets in tons of trouble for running over Myrtle even though he didn't actually do it. Gatsby decides to stay and says he wants to go for a swim. Later that day, Nick found Gatsby floating dead in his pool. Why didn't Tom want to kill Gatsby? Gatsby took his wife and (at least he believes) ran over his girlfriend. Doesn't Tom have more of a reason than Wilson to be angry with Gatsby? Does Wilson know that Tom had a relationship with Myrtle?

  2. Of all places to die, it’s pretty chill to just be lounging in the pool. It’s better than getting ran over or something, but even with a cool place to die, Gatsby shouldn’t have. That hit me out of no where. I didn’t expect Wilson to just come in and randomly shoot him, and then himself. I’d expect confrontation of some sort first at the least. Gatsby didn’t even do it! If Wilson were to shoot anyone it should have been Tom or Daisy. I can’t believe he didn’t expect it or anything though. He didn’t have a very good relationship with Myrtle at all in the first place, and he had been suspicious for some time. His actions seemed a bit rash and unplanned, but I guess when a person is mad enough to go kill someone and then commit suicide, they aren’t exactly thinking clearly.
